Begin your application
A few questions, read by MSI directly. Enough to know whether this is a fit — for both of us.
Why the Portrait is by application
The conditions that make it honest also make it selective.
The Portrait only works under specific conditions: commissioned by the executive who owns the outcome, walked openly, and traced through your own records. Those conditions make it the wrong engagement for some organizations — and MSI takes only a limited number each quarter, so the eye stays sharp and every read gets the attention it demands.
The application is simply how both sides find out, in one step, whether this is a fit. It is short, there is no cost and no obligation, and it is read by MSI — not a sales team. If it is a fit, the next step is a scoping conversation. If it is not, MSI will tell you plainly, and often point you to what would serve you better.
Before you apply
A Portrait tends to fit when…
- You are the executive who owns the outcome — or are authorized by them to commission it.
- Your organization runs on real records: work orders, signatures, handoffs that can be traced.
- Value is eroding, or a problem keeps surfacing, and no one inside can locate it.
- You are prepared to announce the walk openly and let the floor speak.
- You want a verdict you can act on — not a forty-page report to file.
- You are ready to move within the next one to six months.
One prerequisite
A Portrait traces failures through your corrective action process — so you need one first. If your organization does not yet have a documented procedure for addressing nonconformities, a Portrait would be premature. That is the place to begin, and MSI built a fast path to get you there before you apply.

What happens after you apply
Three steps. No pressure at any of them.
You apply.
The form below takes a few minutes. Say as much or as little as you like — MSI reads every word.
MSI reviews it.
Within a few business days you'll hear back either way — whether a Portrait fits, and why.
A scoping conversation.
If it's a fit, MSI scopes the engagement with you directly. Only then does anything get committed.
Whether or not a Portrait fits, you will get an honest answer — that is the whole idea.
