Transition openThe revised environmental standard was published in April 2026, opening a 36-month transition window that closes in April 2029. Certified organizations can begin now.
ISO 45001
Not in this waveISO 45001:2018 is not part of the current transition, so your health and safety documents face no deadline. A revision is underway with publication expected in 2027.
ISO 13485
StableBecause the medical device standard is written into regulatory frameworks, it is expected to remain stable. Your ISO 13485 system is not facing a transition deadline.
Transition deadlines are set at the international level by Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated — the single accreditation organization formed on January 1, 2026 from the merger of the International Accreditation Forum and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation — then applied by your accreditation body, with your registrar confirming the dates that govern your specific certificate.
