Most companies get certified.

Far fewer stay that way.

SureResults was built specifically for the phase that comes after ISO certification — the surveillance audits, the reporting, the registrar coordination, the ongoing improvements. We handle it all, so nothing slips. This is ISO post-certification support done right.

📋

Documentation Drifts Out of Compliance

Standards evolve. Your business changes. Without someone actively monitoring, your documentation falls behind — and your registrar notices.

Surveillance Audits Sneak Up On You

Audits arrive before you're ready. Scrambling to prepare at the last minute creates stress and risk of nonconformances that could jeopardize your certification.

🔥

Small Issues Become Big Problems

A nonconformance caught early is a footnote. One caught by your registrar is a crisis. Most companies don't find out there's a problem until it's expensive to fix.

When you enroll in SureResults — MSI's ISO maintenance program — you get a dedicated consultant assigned to your organization. Someone who knows your system, your history, and your standard inside and out. Not a helpdesk. A partner.

Here's everything that's included:

📊

In-depth Internal Audits

We find the gaps before your registrar does. Your consultant conducts thorough internal audits across ISO 9001, 13485, 14001, and 45001 — identifying nonconformities early, when they're easy to fix.

📄

Reports That Actually Tell You Something

After every audit cycle, you get a clear, plain-language report on your system's health — what's working, what needs attention, and exactly what to do next. No jargon, no guesswork.

🔄

Your ISO Expert, When You Need One

SureResults clients go to the front of the line. Have a compliance question between audits? Your dedicated consultant responds fast — because they already know your system.

⬆️

We Don't Just Maintain — We Improve

Staying certified is the floor, not the ceiling. Your consultant continuously identifies opportunities to make your management system more efficient, effective, and valuable.

🚀

System Optimization

A well-optimized ISO system reduces waste, lowers risk, and improves how your business runs day to day. We tune yours until it does all three — and keep it that way.

👥

Registrar Audit Coordination

Your SureResults consultant manages the entire process — scheduling, prep, documentation, and day-of support — so nothing falls through the cracks when it matters most.

🛡️

SureResults — Your Certification, Protected Year-Round

Between audits, standards evolve and systems drift. We monitor your compliance continuously — keeping your documentation current, your processes aligned, your certification secure.

Proactive Issue Resolution

Small problems fixed before they become big ones. We surface nonconformances proactively and close them fast — long before they threaten your certification.

Standards change.

Your certification shouldn't be at risk because of it.

Three of the four standards MSI works in are moving at once. ISO 14001 has already been revised. ISO 9001 is next. ISO 45001 follows. On top of that, many organizations are being asked by customers to add a standard they don't yet hold. Most consultants treat each of those as a separate project with a separate quote and a separate calendar. MSI builds them into the SureResults schedule you're already on — same consultant, same audit cycle, no restart.

Where each standard stands right now

Your existing certificate stays valid through its transition window. The question is when you move, not whether — and moving early costs far less than moving late.

ISO 9001

Publishing now

The revised quality standard is scheduled for publication in September 2026. A three-year transition window is expected, to be confirmed by the accreditation bodies at or around publication.

ISO 14001

Transition open

The revised environmental standard was published in April 2026, opening a 36-month transition window that closes in April 2029. Certified organizations can begin now.

ISO 45001

Not in this wave

ISO 45001:2018 is not part of the current transition, so your health and safety documents face no deadline. A revision is underway with publication expected in 2027.

ISO 13485

Stable

Because the medical device standard is written into regulatory frameworks, it is expected to remain stable. Your ISO 13485 system is not facing a transition deadline.

Transition deadlines are set at the international level by Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated — the single accreditation organization formed on January 1, 2026 from the merger of the International Accreditation Forum and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation — then applied by your accreditation body, with your registrar confirming the dates that govern your specific certificate. MSI monitors those announcements for every SureResults client and reports what actually changes for your system, not what changed in general.

Transitioning to a Revised Standard

A revision is not a rebuild. It is a delta — a defined set of changes measured against the system you already have documented. Handled inside your maintenance cycle, it is ordinary work. Handled six months before the deadline, it is a project.

  • A sequenced documentation strategic plan built against your audit date, not a published deadline
  • Clause-by-clause comparison of the current and revised standard
  • Delta gap analysis against your actual documented system, not a generic checklist
  • Documentation, procedure, and manual updates drafted for you
  • Internal audits run to the revised requirements before your registrar sees them
  • Transition audit scheduled and coordinated with your registrar

Adding a Standard You Don't Yet Hold

Certified to one standard and now being asked for another? Your SureResults consultant already knows your processes, your documentation, and your registrar. Extending what you have beats starting a separate implementation from zero.

  • Gap analysis against ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, or 13485
  • Shared clauses mapped once, documented once, audited once
  • New procedures written and integrated into your existing manual
  • Registrar scope-extension coordination handled by MSI
  • Internal audit program expanded to cover the added standard
  • A route to a genuinely integrated management system, not two systems in one building

Where the document work actually happens

SureResults clients have this folded into their schedule. If you're not on the program — or you want one specific piece handled now — both engagements are available on their own.

ISO Documentation Program

Strategic planning first. What documented information you have, what condition it's in, what has to change and in what order — sequenced against your own audit date. Most organizations start here, and many run the plan with their own team from there.

  • Document index with a disposition against every item
  • Certification cycle analysis, including whether two certificates can be aligned
  • Schedule with owners, target dates, and completion evidence
  • Condition triage and a maturity baseline
See the ISO Documentation Program

ISO 14001:2026 Procedure Update Service

You're already certified and your documents are sound — they just have to move to the 2026 edition. Send us the procedure. We return it updated in your own format, with a change record showing what moved, why, and what evidence now proves it.

  • Your header, your numbering, your document control block
  • A transition delta sheet, clause by clause
  • A signed determination that the change was reviewed and managed
  • Optional maturity uplift, elected document by document
See the ISO 14001:2026 Procedure Update Service

Why this sits inside maintenance instead of beside it

A transition performed by an outside firm starts with them learning your system. That learning curve is billable, and it's why transition support is usually quoted as its own engagement. Your SureResults consultant skipped that step years ago. They wrote or maintain your procedures, they know which clauses your registrar looks hardest at, and they know which of your processes the revision will actually touch.

If you hold more than one standard, the advantage compounds. ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 are both moving to the same harmonized structure, so an organization running both can transition once against a single mapped set of changes — instead of paying for the same work twice, a year apart.

Tell us your standards, your certificate dates, and your registrar. We will tell you what your transition schedule should look like — and whether it belongs in this year's cycle or next year's.

Talk Through Your Timeline

You worked hard to get certified. Let's make sure it stays that way.

SureResults clients average 0–1 findings at their surveillance audits. That's not luck — that's what happens when an expert is actively managing your ISO compliance year-round. Find out if this ISO certification maintenance program is right for your organization.

SureResults is the right fit if your organization has achieved ISO certification and wants to protect that investment without dedicating internal resources to managing it.

  • You're certified to ISO 9001, 14001, 13485, or 45001 and want to stay that way
  • Your last surveillance audit was more stressful than it should have been
  • You don't have a dedicated internal ISO coordinator — or they're stretched thin
  • You want your management system to drive business results, not just check boxes
  • Your business is growing and your management system needs to keep pace
  • You're maintaining multiple ISO standards and the complexity is growing
  • A standard you hold is being revised and you'd rather plan the transition than react to it

SureResults may not be the right fit if…

  • You haven't yet achieved ISO certification (explore SurePath instead)
  • You have a fully staffed internal ISO team with capacity to manage ongoing compliance

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Questions About ISO Certification Maintenance

What is an ISO certification maintenance program?

An ISO certification maintenance program is an ongoing service that helps organizations stay compliant with their ISO standard — such as ISO 9001, 14001, 13485, or 45001 — after they have achieved certification. It typically includes internal audits, management reviews, documentation updates, registrar coordination, and proactive nonconformance resolution. SureResults from Management Systems International (MSI) is one such program, serving organizations that want expert support without hiring a full-time internal ISO coordinator.

How do companies maintain ISO certification after they achieve it?

Maintaining ISO certification requires ongoing internal audits, regular management reviews, continuous documentation updates, corrective action tracking, and preparation for annual surveillance audits. Companies either manage this internally with a dedicated ISO coordinator, or outsource it to a specialist firm like MSI through a program like SureResults. MSI clients average 0–1 findings at their surveillance audits — compared to the industry average of 3–5 — because their systems are actively managed year-round rather than scrambled for before each audit.

What happens if you fail a surveillance audit?

If a surveillance audit reveals major nonconformances, your ISO certification can be suspended or revoked. This can disrupt customer relationships, disqualify you from contracts that require ISO certification, and require a costly recertification process. Minor nonconformances must be resolved within a defined timeframe and verified by the registrar. Proactive maintenance — through regular internal audits and ongoing system management — is the most reliable way to prevent findings from reaching your surveillance audit.

How much does ISO certification maintenance cost?

The cost of ISO certification maintenance varies depending on the standard, the size and complexity of your management system, and whether you manage it internally or outsource to a specialist. Internal costs include staff time for audits, documentation, and management reviews. Outsourcing to a firm like MSI through the SureResults program is typically more cost-effective than hiring a full-time ISO coordinator, and provides access to expert consultants across all major standards. Contact MSI for a SureResults pricing consultation.

What is the difference between SurePath and SureResults?

SurePath is MSI's ISO certification implementation program — designed for organizations that have not yet achieved ISO certification and need expert guidance to implement a compliant management system and pass their initial certification audit. SureResults is MSI's ISO certification maintenance program — designed for organizations that are already certified and need ongoing support to maintain compliance, prepare for surveillance audits, and continuously improve their management system. Many MSI clients begin with SurePath and continue with SureResults after achieving certification.

Does SureResults cover ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and ISO 45001?

Yes. SureResults from MSI covers all four major ISO management system standards: ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 13485 (Medical Device Quality Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety). MSI also supports organizations maintaining multiple standards simultaneously, which is increasingly common in manufacturing, medical device, and defense industries.

Does SureResults include support for transitioning to a revised ISO standard?

Yes. When a standard is revised — as ISO 14001 was in April 2026 and ISO 9001 is in September 2026 — the transition work is built into the SureResults schedule rather than quoted as a separate project. That includes a clause-by-clause comparison of the editions, a delta gap analysis against your existing documented system, procedure and manual updates, internal audits run to the revised requirements, and coordination of the transition audit with your registrar. Organizations that are not on the SureResults program can engage the same work separately through MSI's ISO Documentation Program or the ISO 14001:2026 Procedure Update Service.

Most certified companies are one missed audit away from a nonconformance. Find out how SureResults protects yours.
